Ethics reform
I support the Georgia Alliance for Ethics Reform's proposal which will, among other things:
- limit lobbyist gifts to legislators
- expand Georgia's Open Meeting/Open Records laws to cover the Georgia General Assembly
- restore rulemaking authority to the State Ethics Commission (now known as the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission)
- reform campaign finance laws
- and much more...
Does your group have any efforts at the local (city) level? I serve on the Marietta City Council, and some on Council wish to strength our own ethics code. Are there any resources you know of that might help at a city level?
